MATCH 3
Dartmouth (2-0, 1-0 NIRA) at Princeton (0-2, 0-2 NIRA)
Date: Saturday, Sept. 16 | 12 p.m.
Location: Princeton, N.J. | West Windsor Fields
All-Time Series: Dartmouth leads 1-0
LAST WEEKEND'S QUALITY WIN
Dartmouth earned a dominant 41-12 win over Army West Point last Saturday to improve to 2-0. The Big Green and Black Knights met in the 2021 NIRA Championship and battled in a close regular season match last season, but Army West Point was no match in Dartmouth's NIRA opener.
Katelyn Walker and
Nicole Ihensekhien scored two tries apiece in the promising early-season win.
LAST YEAR'S MEETING
The Big Green scored a season-high 95 points in last year's match against Princeton, which was held at Brophy Field on Oct. 22, 2022. 12 different players found the try zone, including
Ariana Ramsey, who scored three in the first 20 minutes. 95 points marked Dartmouth's highest output since a 98-7 win over Brown on Sept. 15, 2018. That dominant 2022 squad went on to score 85 points the following weekend against Brown.
20 STRAIGHT
Last Saturday's win over Army West Point made it 20 straight for the Big Green, dating back to the start of the 2021 season.
SCORING BREAKDOWN
Simone Bautista leads Dartmouth with 20 points via four tries.
Asialeata Meni and
Nicole Ihensekhien both have 15 points (both via three tries).
Abbey Savin (four conversions) and
Abby Kayser (six conversions) have split the kicking duties.
AROUND THE NIRA
Safe to say many of the eyes in the NIRA are on Dartmouth and Harvard, who met in last year's title match and are set to meet on Saturday, Oct. 21. The Crimson opened their season with a 55-14 road win over Quinnipiac and returned home for a 65-0 rout over American International College last weekend. Sacred Heart is off to a strong start with comfortable victories over Army West Point and Brown.
HOME OPENER COMING SOON
After playing its first three on the road, Dartmouth finally returns to Brophy Field on Saturday, Sept. 23 to host Quinnipiac. It's the second straight season the Big Green and Bobcats have squared off for Brophy's first action. NIRA play takes a quick break when Lindenwood comes to town on Saturday, Oct. 7, and all eyes are on Hanover when Dartmouth battles Harvard on Saturday, Oct. 21 in a rematch of the 2022 championship match.
