PHILADELPHIA — The Dartmouth men's tennis team earned three wins in singles and one in doubles against opponents from Delaware on the second day of the Penn Invitational.
Carlos Guerrero Alvarez,
Henry Ren and
Xander Barber were each victorious in singles, and Ren did so in three-set fashion.
Waleed Qadir and
Yujiro Onuma also battled in three-set matches, but came up short. Guerrero Alvarez, Dartmouth's No. 1 singles player during the 2023 season, is unbeaten through the Penn Invitational thus far.
Alvarez and Barber represented the Big Green's lone doubles victory, defeating Delaware's Ismail Saadi and Alexandre Gluck.
Sunday marks the final day of action in Philadelphia, and then Dartmouth returns home to host its annual fall invitational beginning Friday, Sept. 22.
