Skiing and Swimming take the spotlight this week.
Whether outside on the snow or inside in the pool, Big Green athletes are making the most of winter in New England. Sophomore Colton Rasmussen earned four victories in the pool at the Tate Ramsden Invitational. Outside, in far colder weather, junior Allie Resnick was skiing her way to a place on the podium. Skiing to a first place finish in the first two races of 2024, she led the alpine team to a win at the Colby Carnival.
Their efforts are rewarded by being named The Richards Group Athletes of the week.

Colton Rasmussen, So., Naples, Fla., Free, Men's Swimming
The 2024 Tate Ramsden Invitational saw the Big Green earn a dominant win over UMass while breaking several meet records. Colton Rasmussen was a big part of the successful weekend at Karl Michael Pool, having been a member of all three winning relay teams that earned meet records (200 free, 200 medley and 400 free). The sophomore also added a victory in the 100 free on Saturday.
Allie Resnick, Jr., Vail, Colo., Alpine, Skiing
Junior Allie Resnick made her claim as the top women's alpine skier in the East this past weekend by winning the first two carnival races of 2024. On Friday at Sugarloaf, she posted the fastest first run of the giant slalom by nearly three-quarters of a second, then cruised to the victory. The following day, Resnick did not let up as she recorded the fastest times on each of her two runs in the slalom to take the race by almost 0.8 seconds. Her performance was a big part of Dartmouth winning the Colby Carnival by nearly 130 points, the team's largest margin of victory in four years. The 2023 All-American has started nine collegiate races in her career, winning six of them.
