The Big Green won one game on the day at the first position

PRINCETON, N. J. – Following Saturday's loss at Penn, the Big Green women's squash team was looking to bounce back and pick up their first Ivy League victory against Princeton. Despite a hard-fought battle at the first position, the Big Green fell to Princeton 9-0 at Jadwin Gymnasium on Sunday.

With the loss, the Big Green fall to 5-6 on the season and 0-4 in Ivy League play whereas the Princeton Tigers move to 7-1 overall and 3-1 in the Ivy League.

The Big Green's best matchup was at the one position with sophomore Maria Clara Ramírez facing Princeton's Zeina Zein. Ramírez won the first game in extra points (12-10) but dropped the following two games (5-11, 6-11). In the fourth game, Ramírez and Zein remained neck and neck until the final stretch, but Zein was able to pull away to win the final game (8-11) and the match 3-0.

Dartmouth women's squash will return home to face Columbia on Saturday, February 3, hoping to pick up their first win against an Ivy League opponent. You can watch the match on Stretch Internet or follow the live scoring link on the official Dartmouth Sports website.
