Equestrian Downs Sacred Heart To Improve To 2-0

FAIRFIELD, Conn.-- The Dartmouth equestrian team improved its record to 2-0 on Saturday, with a 6-4 road win over Sacred Heart.Â
Samantha Takacs '27 kicked off the scoring in the second quarter with an 84-80 victory. Elise Stephens '28, Cassidy Exner '27, and Kileigh Van Ness '28 followed with 82-80, 86-0, and 84-83 wins, respectively.
"We had a great start to the day. We put in five well-executed fence rounds and were happy to go into the half leading by three," said Head Coach Tenley Walsh.
During the second half, Riley Dickman '27 won her first career MOP, thanks to a 91-80 win on the flat. Exner added a 78-72 victory, bringing the final score to 6-4 Dartmouth.Â
"I couldn't be more proud of this team and how hard they worked together to earn this win," added Walsh.
The team will continue its fall season when they host College of Charleston on November 2 at Morton Farm.
