HANOVER, N.H.--The top-ranked Dartmouth equestrian team wrapped up its fall season with a victory over Sacred Heart University on Sunday. The 5-5 tie was broken by Dartmouth's 808-804Â edge on the day's combined raw score.
In the first half, Chloe Terestchenko '25 picked up her third flat victory of the season, winning 84-74. Elise Stephens '28 also won her matchup 82-79.
"Chloe has been strong on the flat all year and Elise had a great week in practice," said head coach Tenley Walsh. "Those were important points for us today"
During the jumping phase of the meet, Stephens, Samantha Takacs '27, and Cassidy Exner '27 secured victories for The Big Green (81-80, 88-85, 87-74) giving Dartmouth its needed five points. Takacs was named the meet's Most Outstanding Performer over fences.
"Every point in every round mattered today, since it came down to the raw score. It took every person on this team to win today. I am proud of the hard work, positive attitude, sportsmanship, and horsemanship that this team has demonstrated," said Walsh.
The Big Green looks to add on to their unbeaten 4-0 record when they return to action February 9 at the College of Charleston.
