HANOVER, N.H. — Trailing by just four after one quarter, the Dartmouth women's basketball team was outscored 19-2 in the second, which proved too much to overcome in a 61-37 loss on Monday night inside Leede Arena.
The Big Green were even with the Catamounts in the third quarter and were outscored by just three in the fourth, but by that time, Vermont had the game well in hand.

The Big Green head into final exam period and the Thanksgiving holiday before returning to action in 13 days, on Sunday, Dec. 1 when they host New Hampshire at 2 p.m.
FIRST QUARTER:
Vermont opened an 8-0 lead, but the Big Green had an answer. They scored 12 of the next 18 points to pull within 14-12 after an Austin layup.
Austin finished the first quarter with seven of Dartmouth's 12 points, as the Big Green trailed 16-12 after 15 minutes of play.
SECOND QUARTER:
Vermont controlled the second quarter, beginning the stanza on a 10-0 run.
After a Clare Meyer basket, the Catamounts scored the final nine points, finishing the quarter with a 19-2 edge.
Vermont's Anna Olson scored 10 of her team-high 16 points in the second quarter.
THIRD QUARTER:
A back-and-forth third quarter saw Vermont open as much as a 25-point lead, with the Big Green pulling as close as 19 following a pair of Zeynep Ozel 3-pointers in the span of 48 seconds.
A Page layup with 28 seconds on the clock got Dartmouth within 47-26 heading to the fourth.
FOURTH QUARTER:
The Vermont lead hovered between 19 and 24 for the entire fourth quarter.
Page finished with seven fourth-quarter points, shooting 2-for-2 from the field and 3-for-3 from the free throw line.
Included was an impressive 3-point play with 6:22 on the clock.
