Proctor and Washington Capture Ivy League Weekly Awards Following Victory

HANOVER, N.H. — Quarterback Jackson Proctor and defensive back Jordan Washington were honored by the Ivy League on Monday following Saturday's dominant 56-28 win over Brown that clinched an Ivy League Championship. The league's Offensive Player of the Week, Proctor set or tied multiple program records. Named the co-Defensive Player of the Week, Washington's afternoon was highlighted by a pick-six at a critical point in the game.

Proctor is Dartmouth's third Ivy Offensive Player of the Week this season, along with Grayson Saunier (after the Yale victory) and Q Jones (following the Columbia win). On Saturday, Proctor finished with career highs in passing yards (308) and rushing yards (171). It was the most passing yards by a Big Green player since Derek Kyler had 325 at New Hampshire on Oct. 16, 2021. Proctor's 479 total yards set a program record and is tied for 13th in Ivy League history. It was just four yards from the top 10, with the Ivy record being 538. Proctor threw for four touchdowns and ran for three, both career highs as well. His seven total touchdowns are tied for the most in program history with Fred Jennings in 1898 against Amherst (a 64-6 Dartmouth victory).

Proctor also threw for a 72-yard touchdown and ran for a 75-yard score. He had key drives at big times; one came in the final minute of the first half after Brown tied the score at 14. Proctor responded by marching the Big Green 75 yards on six plays, ending with a touchdown reception from Chris Corbo with three seconds remaining. The Big Green then scored just 54 seconds into the second half.

Washington is Dartmouth's first Defensive Player of the Week this season, but it's his second award after also garnering Special Teams Player of the Week following the season opener against Fordham. With 10:45 left in the third quarter against Brown, Washington returned an interception 58 yards the other way for a touchdown. That gave the Big Green a 35-14 lead, which proved to be the difference as Brown finished with 28 points. It marked Dartmouth's first pick-six since last Nov. 3 when Sean Williams did the same thing at home against Princeton. Washington also had five tackles and a career-high four pass breakups. The interception was the first of his career.

The Big Green wrapped up their fourth Ivy League Championship in the last five seasons on Saturday, as Yale's victory at Harvard means Dartmouth, Harvard and Columbia share the title in 2024. The Big Green finished 8-2 and 5-2 in the Ivy League, capturing their Ivy-record 22nd all-time title.
