Connor Amundsen scored a career high 28 points as the Dartmouth men's basketball team dropped a Saturday afternoon matchup with UMass Lowell from Costello Athletic Center.
The Big Green's record falls to 4-6 (0-0 Ivy League) and UMass Lowell's improves to 8-4 (0-0 America East). Â

FIRST HALF: 
- The River Hawks scored first but two steals and three consecutive three pointers from Ben Brown, Haskins and Romeo Myrthil opened an early 13-4 run from the Big Green and put them ahead 13-8 going into the first media timeout. Â
- A steal and five points from Cameron McNamee, a three from Amundsen and a basket from Brandon Mitchell-Day gave Dartmouth a 27-16 lead with 8:44 left in the half.
- The River Hawks scored eight to Dartmouth's one, closing the Big Green lead to four, 30-26, with 6:45 remaining.
- Three three-pointers from Amundsen and one from Jayden Williams in the last six minutes gave the Big Green a 44-35 lead going into halftime.
SECOND HALF:
- Eight unanswered points from UMass Lowell early in the half brought them within one, 52-51 and forced a Big Green timeout.
- Out of the timeout, the River Hawks kept scoring and took a 57-55 lead with 13:20 remaining.
- Momentum kept shifting to UMass Lowell and the River Hawks opened a 10-point lead going into the final media timeout, 84-74. Â
- The River Hawks scored the final points of the game and took the victory, 92-83.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Amundsen shot 50% from the field (8-16) and 75% from beyond the arc (6-8). He also went 100% from the charity stripe (6-6).
- Haskins had 16 points and shot 45% from three for the Big Green.
- Amundsen's points are the most scored by a first-year in at least 10 seasons.
