HANOVER, N.H. — Following another Ivy League Championship season, the Dartmouth football team continues to rack in the postseason honors. On Thursday, 17 student-athletes were recognized, with several receiving multiple honors.
Â
Leading the way was offensive lineman Delby Lemieux, tight end Chris Corbo and kicker Owen Zalc who were all named Phil Steele All-Americans. Lemieux earned a spot on the third team, and was named Phil Steele's Ivy League Offensive Lineman of the Year. Corbo and Zalc were both named to the fourth team. Zalc was also named Phil Steele's Ivy League Special Teams Player of the Year.
Â
The Big Green earned the most Phil Steele All-America selections, with Harvard the only other school to record any with one.
Â
Lemieux, who was recently named an Associated Press honorable mention All-American, helped anchor the Big Green's offensive line, as the Big Green finished top 20 nationally in fewest sacks allowed while finishing third in the Ivy League in rushing offense (166.5 yards per game). They helped pave the way for running back Q Jones, who received plenty of postseason recognition after a strong season. Individually, Lemieux didn't allow a sack, allowing just seven pressures.
Â
Also an AP honorable mention All-American, Corbo led the Big Green with seven touchdown receptions this season — most by a Dartmouth player since Drew Estrada had eight in 2019. His 32 receptions were second on the team, while his 315 yards were third. Corbo had a touchdown in seven of the 10 games in a remarkably consistent season. His career high for receptions came at Princeton (8) with his career high for yards coming against Penn (seven catches for 51 yards). His seven receiving touchdowns are good for 42nd nationally and fifth in the Ivy League. It's also second in the nation amongst tight ends, while his 1.4 touchdowns per game lead the country amongst his position. Corbo was also named to the All-New England Team.
Â
Last season, Zalc was named a first team Freshman All-American by Phil Steele and enjoyed an even stronger sophomore campaign. He finished 2024 connecting on 13-of-17 on field goals, with impressive range. Zalc knocked through a program-record 54-yard field goal against Harvard. At Merrimack, he had a 50-yarder, while also converting the game-winning 32-yard field goal with three seconds remaining to wrap up a hard-fought 16-14 win. Also a first team All-Ivy honoree for a second straight season, Zalc was named Ivy League Special Teams Player of the Week three times this season — following that Merrimack win, the following week after Penn and after the record kick against the Crimson.
Â
Meanwhile, Phil Steele recognized 17 Big Green student-athletes as All-Ivy, with 18 total selections (Sean Williams was picked at two positions).
Â
Dartmouth's first teamers — along with Lemieux, Corbo and Zalc — were offensive lineman Kyle Brown, defensive linemen Ejike Adele and Josiah Green, linebacker Braden Mullen and defensive back Jordan Washington.
Â
Brown, like Lemieux, played a key role in the Big Green's offensive line.
Adele was named the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year earlier this week at Monday's Bushnell Cup presentation. He was also a Stats Perform third team All-American. Adele led the Big Green in both sacks (6.0) and tackles-for-loss (12.0) while his 54 tackles were tied for second on the team.
Green was a unanimous first team All-Ivy selection by the coaches; his 49.0 tackles this year were tied for fourth on the Big Green, while he was second on the team in tackles-for-loss (9.0) and third in sacks (3.0).
Mullen finished the 2024 season second on the Big Green in sacks with five and third with 7.5 tackles-for-loss while also adding 30 tackles, five pass breakups, a forced fumble and fumble recovery.
Washington led Dartmouth with 11 pass breakups, while adding 30 tackles, including 2.5 tackles-for-loss. He had a pick-six in the season finale against Brown, going 58 yards the other way.
Â
Jones was the lone Big Green player on the second team.
The Fountain, Colorado native enjoyed a career year, rushing for 711 yards on 162 carries (4.4 yards per carry). He was named the league's Offensive Player of the Week after a monster effort at Columbia when he ran for 182 yards on 19 carries (9.6 average), 123 of those yards coming in the third quarter.
Â
Dartmouth's third team honorees were linebacker Micah Green, Williams at defensive back and long snapper Andy Belles.
Green led the Big Green in tackles (76) while adding 3.5 tackles-for-loss, two sacks, an interception and forced fumble.
Williams recorded 40 tackles, a tackle-for-loss and interception in 2024.
Belles becomes the Big Green's second straight long snapper honored by Phil Steele. Last season, Josh Greene was named a fourth team All-American (among other honors).
Despite missing the final four games of the season due to injury, Scott led the Big Green in receptions (34) and earned honorable mention All-Ivy honors. His 411 yards were also second on the team.
Marinaro and Holmbeck played a key role in the Big Green's offensive line success, which included a top 20 finish nationally in fewest sacks allowed.
Cronin's 54 tackles were second on the team, while he added four tackles-for-loss, one sack, an interception and fumble recovery.
Porter ended the year with a career-high 34 tackles, including 6.0 tackles-for-loss as a force on a defensive line that was full of All-Ivy honorees (with Green and Adele alongside him).
Williams earned multiple Phil Steele honors for a second straight year. Last season, he received three Phil Steele All-Ivy honors (at defensive back, punt return and all-purpose). This season, Williams averaged 7.5 yards per punt return, with a long of 26.
