Connor Amundsen and
Ryan Cornish combined for 48 points and
Brandon Mitchell-Day added 15 as the Dartmouth men's basketball team dominated Vermont to an 84-54 victory on Saturday afternoon from Leede Arena.

Cornish grabbed nine rebounds and eight assists while Mitchell-Day grabbed nine rebounds.
The Big Green's record improves to 5-7 (0-0 Ivy League) and Vermont's falls to 6-8 (0-0 America East). Â

FIRST HALF: 
- Cornish scored the first five points of the game putting the Big Green in front. Five more points from him and a three from Amundsen gave Dartmouth a 13-4 lead just 4:24 into the game.
- Three three-pointers from Amundsen and one from Cade Haskins extended the Big Green lead to 27-13 with 8:52 remaining.
- An 8-2 run for the Catamounts brought them within 10, 29-21, with 6:58 left in the half. Â Â
- With 3:44 to go, the Big Green scored 13 unanswered to open a 42-21 lead.
- In the final 6:12 of the half, Dartmouth held UVM to four points and scored 19 of their own. Â
SECOND HALF:
- The Big Green kept scoring out of halftime, this time going on a 19-4 run with 11:21 left that included three-pointers from Jackson Munro, Amundsen and Haskins.
- A layup by Romeo Myrthil with 9:32 remaining gave the Big Green a 72-35 lead, their largest of the game.
- Vermont responded with an 11-0 run to close the gap to 72-46 with 7:15 left.
- Dartmouth closed out the game with nine unanswered and took the victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Amundsen finished the game 64% from the field and 88% from three. He was also 80% from the charity stripe.
- Cornish was 100% from the free throw line (8-8).
- The Big Green out rebounded the Catamounts 43-23. Within that, Dartmouth grabbed 11 offensive rebounds compared to UVM's six. Â
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Amundsen's seven made threes are tied for the second most made threes by a first year in the NCAA this season.
- This marks the first win over Vermont since 2007, snapping a 15-game losing streak against the Catamounts.
- The margin of victory today was the most against UVM since a 77-46 win on Dec. 21, 2005.
