Ryan Cornish put up 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds as the Dartmouth men's basketball team defeated the University of New Hampshire 69-65 on Tuesday evening from Lundholm Gymnasium to keep in-state supremacy.

The Big Green's record improves to 4-3 (0-0 Ivy League) and New Hampshire's falls to 2-10 (0-0 America East). Â

FIRST HALF: 
- Dartmouth went on an early 8-0 run, six of which came from Cornish, to take a 17-10 lead, with 12:38 remaining in the half.
- Six quick points for UNH brought the Dartmouth lead to 25-17 and forced a Big Green timeout going into the second media timeout.
- Out of the timeout, the Wildcats scored ten to the Big Green's one and closed the Dartmouth gap to one, 28-27 with 1:17 left in the half.
- A buzzer beater three-pointer from Sami Pissis tied the game 32-32 going into halftime.
SECOND HALF:
- Dartmouth opened the half on another 8-0 run, with six points coming from Haskins, to put the Big Green ahead 40-34.
- With 12:51 left in the half, three unanswered baskets from beyond the arc on four possessions gave the Big Green a 51-38 lead.
- The Wildcats responded with a 10-2 run of their own, closing the gap to six, 58-52, going into the under 8:00 media timeout.
- Three three-point baskets and a jumper from UNH's Pissis and Anthony McComb III brought the Wildcats within two, 67-65 with 1:07 left.
- Two free throws from Cornish with 20 seconds left secured the victory for Dartmouth, 69-65.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Dartmouth had five steals throughout the game, leading to 11 fast break points.
- The Big Green led for 36:34 of the game.
- Dartmouth had 11 offensive rebounds compared to UNH's eight.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- The all-time series between the only D1 basketball programs in New Hampshire is now 36-36. Â
- Dartmouth has now won back-to-back meet ups with the UNH Wildcats. This is the first time since the 1991-92 and 1992-93 seasons that the Big Green have defeated the Wildcats in back-to-back seasons.
