AUBURN, Ala. — The Dartmouth equestrian team fell to Auburn 6-2 on Friday, dropping its record to 3-3 on the season. The Big Green nearly took a lead into halftime, tying the flat portion of the meet, 2-2.

In the flat, first-years
Cassidy Exner and
Samantha Takacs won their matchups, 83-80 and 83-82, respectively. Senior
Margot Luria lost her matchup by a single point, 82-81.

Following the contest, Exner was named the meet's Most Outstanding Performer on the flat.

In the second half, Auburn – currently ranked sixth in the NCEA dual-discipline rankings – won all four points over fences, securing the victory. Three of the four matchups were separated by four points or fewer.

"We've turned in some really good rides the last two meets, against really strong programs," said Big Green head coach
Tenley Walsh. "Today, I thought we did a better job of making adjustments, adapting our gameplan to match our draws. I'm proud of how focused we were today."

The Big Green will return to action on Saturday when they face UT Martin, currently ranked eighth in the dual-discipline rankings. The meet will also take place at Auburn and start at 3 p.m. ET (2 p.m. locally). It will mark Dartmouth's final meet of its winter schedule and the regular season. Fans can follow along with
