POTSDAM, N.Y. – The No. 3 Clarkson Golden Knights got out to an early lead Friday against the Big Green and did not look back, posting three goals in the first period en route to a 9-0 victory. With the loss, the Big Green move to 6-19-3 overall and 3-15-3 in ECAC Hockey action. The Golden Knights move to 28-3-2 overall and 17-3-1 against conference opponents.

Hann Humphreys. The Golden Knights remained off the scoreboard for the next 11 minutes before scoring two goals a minute and a half apart to take the 3-0 lead into the first intermission.
The Big Green started the second period with nearly a full power play on fresh ice but were not able to convert. Momentum continued to swing Clarkson's way as it added two more goals, including its second power-play goal of the game before the second period ended.
Clarkson did the most damage in the third period, finding the back of the net four times, including two more power play goals. They scored their final goal with less than ten seconds remaining in the game, sealing the 9-0 victory.
Humphreys made 38 saves for the Big Green including 14 in the first period and 13 in the second period. The Big Green did not apply nearly as much pressure on the Golden Knights goaltender, as she only faced ten shots in the shutout.
