Dartmouth won all 10 of its races on the day
FAIRLEE, Vt. — The Dartmouth women's rowing team put forth an impressive performance on Saturday, winning all 10 of its races against regional opponents Rhode Island and UMass. The Big Green faced the Rams early in the morning before going head-to-head with the Minutewomen not long after on Lake Morey.
"Racing twice in three hours was a really good challenge for our team and served as great prep as we get ready for Sprints," said Dartmouth head coach John Graves. "I felt like all the crews took a step forward today in terms of rowing a confident and consistent base rhythm especially in the second thousand, which was great to see. It was also very special to have the support of so many friends and family as we celebrated our graduating seniors."
Against URI, Dartmouth picked up just over a 3-second victory in the varsity eight (7:07.06 compared to 7:10.82). The margin in the second varsity eight was less than two seconds, as the Big Green finished in 7:15.55 to the Rams' 7:17.20. The largest margin came in the third varsity eight, as Dartmouth came in 7:44.56 while Rhode Island came in at 8:03.41.
The varsity eight picked up a comfortable victory against UMass, winning by nearly 17 seconds (6:33.92 to UMass' 6:50.84). The closet margin was the varsity four, with the Big Green finishing in 7:32.05 to the Minutewomen's 7:36.61.

Dartmouth will return to action in two weeks from Sunday on May 5 at Eastern Sprints in Worcester, Mass.
