TOURNAMENT RACE HEATS UP
After sweeping Cornell last weekend, Dartmouth is now tied for fourth in the Ivy League with Columbia, who visits Hanover for the final weekend of the regular season. It's been an up-and-down April for the Big Green with three-game winning streaks bookending a five-game losing streak.
Â
FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR TOP 25
Jensin Hall, the nation's leader in strikeouts per seven innings, became the first player in Dartmouth history to be selected to the TUCCI/NFCA Division I National Freshman of the Year Top 25. Hall currently leads the Ivy League in strikeouts with 128 despite having thrown significantly fewer innings than her closest competitors. Her 17 punchouts against Brown were the most by any Ivy League pitcher against a Division I opponent since 2006, and her no-hitter against Yale made her the third Big Green freshman in program history to deal a no-no. In addition to the NFCA honor, she also earned her fourth Ivy League Pitcher of the Year accolade on Monday.
Â
PANU HEATING UP
Alaana Panu hit .625 during Dartmouth's sweep over Cornell, including a crucial first-inning two-run home run in the opening game. The last series between the Big Green and the Quakers included Panu's memorable walk-off grand slam, part of a series sweep in Hanover.

Â
WHAT'S BETTER THAN ONE WALK-OFF?
The answer is two.
Leila Hennessy walked off the opening game of the Cornell series with an RBI double. Approximately two hours later,
Allie Ohde led off the seventh inning and lifted a walk-off homer over the left field fence.
Â
RECENT SERIES HISTORY
Dartmouth has won six straight over Penn, having swept each of the last two series. The Quakers' last series victory came in 2019. The Big Green have won 15 of the last 20 meetings.
Â
SENIOR DAY COMING UP
Wrapping up the regular season, and likely battling Columbia for a spot in the Ivy League Tournament, the Big Green are back home against the Lions next weekend. Dartmouth will honor its two seniors,
Mary Beth Cahalan and
Kelly Beaupre, on Sunday.
