HANOVER, N.H. — After wrapping up its season over the weekend at the Ivy League Championship, three Dartmouth women's rowing student-athletes were recognized on Tuesday with postseason Ivy League recognition. Senior
Jenna Martin was named first team All-Ivy and sophomore
Aine Ley garnered second team honors, with junior
Emma Hochberg being named to the Academic All-Ivy team.
Martin was in the two seat of the varsity eight at the Ivy League Championship, with Ley in the six seat. In the end, the Big Green defeated Harvard–Radcliffe in their heat, finishing in 6:40.609 compared to 6:47.40, to advance to the varsity eight grand final for the first time since 2019.
For Martin, it marks her second straight All-Ivy honor, also garnering second-team recognition last season. It's the first postseason honor of Ley's young career.
Additionally, one Ivy League women's rowing student-athlete from each institution was recognized for their commitment in the classroom and on the water as members of the 2024 Ivy League Women's Rowing Academic All-Ivy team. Brown's Eliza Atwood, Columbia's Isobel Wilson, Cornell's Katherine Davis, Dartmouth's
Emma Hochberg, Harvard's Sarah Averill, Penn's Alexandra Wiley, Princeton's Ella Barry and Yale's Sophie Houston were each named to the team.
