HANOVER, N.H. – Preview all the Big Green teams in action this week!
Men's Soccer – Tuesday, September 16 & Saturday, September 21
The Big Green will play their fourth and fifth straight nonconference matchups at Burnham Field this week, welcoming the UMass Minutemen on Tuesday and the Bryant Bulldogs on Saturday. Dartmouth is coming off a 2-1 loss to the UConn Huskies Friday, and will look to bounce back before starting Ivy League play in just under two weeks.
Tuesday's matchup against the Minutemen is Fan Appreciation Day. Fans can get free Domino's pizza while supplies last before catching kick off at 7 p.m. You can watch the game on ESPN+ and see the full preview here. The matchup with the Bulldogs on Saturday will start at 5 p.m. and will be streamed on NESN+.
Volleyball - Friday, September 20, Saturday, September 21, and Sunday September 22
The Big Green host the Dartmouth Invitational this weekend when they host Providence, Siena and Quinnipiac. There will be a total of five matches, with Dartmouth competing in three: Providence on Friday at 7:00 p.m., Quinnipiac on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. and Siena on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. All Dartmouth matches will be streamed on ESPN+.
Field Hockey – Saturday, Sept. 21
Field Hockey opens Ivy League play on Saturday for their lone game of the weekend. The Big Green host Harvard at Chase Field starting at noon. Dartmouth is fresh off its first win of 2024 after defeating Sacred Heart 3-2 on Sunday at Chase Field. Gabriela Braceras leads the team with five points while Zoe Schaffer leads the team with two goals.
Football – Saturday, September 21
The Big Green open the 2024 season by hosting Fordham on Saturday at 1 p.m. on Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day presented by Ledyard National Bank. Dartmouth is looking to continue its recent success of winning three Ivy League Championships in the last four years. Dartmouth returns plenty of talent on both sides of the ball; the Big Green will be hosting a Patriot League opponent in their home opener for a second straight season after defeating Lehigh 34-17 last season. Fordham enters this weekend's game at 0-3.
Men's and Women's Cross Country – Saturday, September 21
The Big Green prepare to travel to Boston, Massachusetts for the Codfish Bowl. Last week, senior Madeleine Locher led the women's team to a first-place finish at the Maribel Sanchez Souther Invitational. On the men's side, senior Ben Williams led Dartmouth finishing fourth.
Women's Soccer – Saturday, September 21
The Big Green travel to UMass Lowell for their last non-conference game of the season before heading into Ivy play. Kickoff is at 2 p.m. at Cushing Field in Lowell, Massachusetts. Yesterday, Junior Hailey Rorick scored the game-winning goal in the 86th minute to beat Hofstra 2-1.
Men's Golf – Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22
The Big Green men's golf team opens the season when they travel to Pennsylvania to compete in the Temple Invitational September 21 and 22.
Sailing – Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22
Dartmouth will host their first home regatta during the third weekend of the fall season, hosting the Mrs. Hurst Trophy on Lake Mascoma. The Big Green will also travel to Brown for the Hoyt Trophy and UVM for the Ross Trophy.
Men's Tennis – Saturday, Sept. 21-Sunday Sept. 29
Men's tennis travels to the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Big Green come off an opening weekend in which they hosted Williams and Bryant for the first of two Dartmouth Invites. Zihao Yaun turned in a 6-0 weekend for the Big Green as he won three singles matches and three doubles matches.
Women's Tennis - Saturday, Sept. 21-Sunday Sept. 29
Women's tennis takes part in the ITA All-American Championships in Cary, North Carolina to open its 2024 fall season. The Big Green return eight players from last season including fifth year Lexi Dewire, and seniors Elizabeth Fahrmeier and Ujvala Jupalli.
Women's Rugby – Sunday, Sept. 22
Following a 93-0 win over Princeton on Saturday, the Big Green travel to Annapolis, Md. to take on Queens for a NIRA matchup. Dartmouth is 2-0 this season in NIRA play following wins over Army and Princeton. Annie Henrich leads the team with 29 points with two tries, eight conversions, and one penalty kick. Paola Arredondo Almeida has a team high four tries this season.
