Big Green in Second Place Going Into Final Round of the Columbia Autumn Invite

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. – Tyler Brand sits in first place in the Columbia Autumn Invitational and the Dartmouth men's golf team sits second after the first day of competition in Lake Placid. As a team, the Big Green are -5. Columbia leads at -13. In 3^rd, St. Thomas Aquinas is -4, Harvard sits in 4^th at -2 and Le Moyne rounds out the top five at +9.

Brand shot a remarkable 64 in the first round and 66 in the second. He is -12 after 36 holes of golf, the best of the tournament through the first day of competition.

Colin Keith shot a 72 (+1) in the first round and a 70 (-1) in the second, finishing the day even par and tied for 15^th. Alex Gu sits tied for 29^th after shooting even the first round and 75 (+4) in the second round. Eli Kimche was right behind him with a 78 (+7) and a 70 (-1) as he sits tied for 35^th.

Finlay Szafnauer sits tied for 44^th after shooting a 78 (+7) and a 72 (+1). Justin Lee, who played as an individual, shot 79 and 81 (+18).

Brand's score is the lowest known mark in a single day by a Dartmouth men's golfer dating back to 2004.
