HANOVER, N.H. – First-year defender
Anna Leschly has been called up to the U.S. Under-20 Women's National Team training camp, as announced by the organization on Monday. Leschly is one of 24 athletes participating in the camp, and one of ten collegiate level athletes.
The U.S. U-20 Women's National Team training camp will be held from Oct. 22-30 at the University of Kansas Health System Training Center, which serves as the home of the 2025 National Women's Soccer League's Kansas City Current.
"We're so proud of Anna for earning her first call-up to the U.S. U-20 National Team training camp. She's worked incredibly hard and continues to raise the standard for herself and those around her every day," Taylor Schram, the Stacy Branca '94 Head Coach of Women's Soccer, said.
Leschly has played an important role in Dartmouth's defense this season, serving as a dominant force during Dartmouth's historic shutout against Columbia. She has started in all 13 games so far and scored her first collegiate goal against Brandeis.
Additionally, the Brookline, Mass., native earned a spot on the Top Drawer Soccer midseason top 100 list, being named among the best freshmen in the nation.
"This opportunity is a testament to her commitment, consistency, and competitive drive, and we're excited to see her embrace this challenge and make the most of it." Schram said.
