Cross Country Competes in Historic Paul Short Run

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Dartmouth men's and women's cross country teams traveled to the Lehigh Valley for the historic Paul Short Run on Friday morning. The men placed 23rd in the gold 8k, while the women placed 27th in the gold 6k.
Connor Foley paced the Big Green, finishing 63rd with a time of 24:11.7. Ashton Bange crossed the finish line next with a 24:46.9 mark. Noe Kemper followed closely behind, finishing the race in 24:48.7. Rory Gaan crossed fourth for the Big Green with a 24:51.5 finish. Baker Pashea finished out scoring for the Big Green with a 24:56.1 mark. Andrew Burr, Eric Sankey, Max Miller, Callahan Fielder and Matthew Kmecz also competed for Dartmouth.
On the women's side, Esme Daplyn crossed the finish line first for the Big Green, finishing in 21:26.4. Mia Compton-Engle came in next with her 21:29.6 mark. Katherine Strong crossed fourth with her 21:31.7 finish, followed by Andie Murray with her 21:43.0 mark. Annamaria Bacchetta, Maddie Romaine and Julia Pye also competed for Dartmouth.
Overall, most of the Big Green's runners improved their times from last year's performance at the Paul Short Run.
The Big Green will continue its season this Friday at the NEICAAA Championships in Boston.
