Olly Spicer and seniors
James Wilson and
Matt McPherson were each named to an all-ivy list.
Spicer earned second team all-ivy honors in his first season with the Big Green. He led the way in scoring, tallying three goals and three assists for nine total points. His three assists and nine points were both the team high, while his three goals ranked him second on the team.
Spicer scored his first goal of the season in the Big Green's match with Merrimack. He took a free kick from right outside the box to help Dartmouth to a 1-1 tie with the Warriors. Four days later, Spicer tallied four points in Dartmouth's first win of the season, factoring into each of the Big Green's goals in the 3-2 victory over Northeastern. He scored the first goal of the game on a free kick, similarly to his goal against the Warriors, before finding
Will Lulka at the end of the first half and
Eidur Baldvinsson in the second half to seal the victory.
In Ivy League play, Spicer tallied an assist on the game winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Columbia as well as scored the Big Green's lone goal of the game in the regular season finale against Harvard.
Wilson, one of the Big Green's captains earned all-ivy honorable mention recognition after having played in every game this season for the Big Green, making 12 total starts. The forward led the team in minutes, tallying 1,078, his most in four seasons with Dartmouth.
Wilson tallied one goal and two assists for four total points in his senior season, his most in one season with the Big Green. He scored his first collegiate goal against in-state rival New Hampshire and added both of his assists in conference play, one in the loss vs. Cornell and the other in the 2-1 win over Columbia on the road, the Big Green's first win in New York since 2016.
Finally, McPherson was named Dartmouth's academic all-ivy representative. The engineering sciences major played in two games in net this season, making his first career start against Merrimack. He made four saves, allowing only one shot on goal to help the Big Green to a 1-1 draw with the Warriors.
McPherson also played in the nonconference finale at UMass. The Minutemen took 18 total shots, 12 of which landed on goal. McPherson made 10 saves, both an individual career high and the most among all three Dartmouth goaltenders in a single game this season.
In his two games, McPherson posted a 1.50 goals against average and an .824 save percentage.
