The Big Green improve to 3-1 on the season for the first time since 2019

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. — The Big Green used a 14-0 first-half run to take a 21-11 lead, and they wouldn't look back, fighting off multiple Siena second-half charges to pick up a 65-55 road win on Sunday. Four Dartmouth players scored in double figures, led by 14 from Nina Minicozzi, who knocked down four 3-pointers on the afternoon.
With the win, the Big Green improve to 3-1, their best record after four games since the 2019-20 season. Siena falls to 0-4.
Alexandra Eldredge added 13 points, with Cate MacDonald recording her second-career double-double behind 12 points and 10 rebounds. Zeynep Ozel tallied 11 points. Francesca Schiro led the Saints with 22 points.
Siena pulled within five after three quarters, but the Big Green held a 18-13 edge in the fourth to erase any doubt. Dartmouth finished 24-of-30 from the free throw line, with MacDonald drawing 10 of the Saints' 28 fouls on the afternoon.

FIRST QUARTER:
A tight start saw neither team lead by more than one possession until a Jamariah Turner 3-pointer gave the Saints an 11-7 lead with 5:25 left in the quarter.
But the Big Green ended the quarter on an 11-0 run, behind four different Dartmouth scorers.
SECOND QUARTER:
Minicozzi's second 3-pointer of the game extended the run to 14-0 and gave the Big Green a 21-11 edge with 8:47 on the clock.
Miniccozi continued to be the story in the first half, scoring five more points in the ensuing minutes.
The Big Green lead eventually reached 17, with them holding a 36-21 halftime advantage.

Siena quickly pulled within single digits, getting within nine at 38-29 after a 3 -point play, and eventually down to one later in the quarter, 41-40.
The Big Green responded, always maintaining the lead, as an Eldredge jumper with 24 seconds on the clock gave them a 47-42 advantage heading to the fourth.
FOURTH QUARTER:
Neither team scored for the first 2:06 of the fourth quarter, with the Big Green scoring the first four. An Austin layup gave Dartmouth a 52-42 lead with 6:15 remaining.
The margin twice reached 11, including after two MacDonald free throws with 2:35 on the clock made the score 60-49.
Siena pulled as close as six, but never closer, as the Big Green wrapped up the victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Dartmouth finished at 34.8% from the floor (16-of-26), including 37.5% from 3-point range (9-of-24).
Siena shot 32.8% (20-of-61) and 12.9% from behind the arc (4-of-31).
The Saints held a 41-30 edge in rebounds.
The Big Green's 24 made free throws marked their most in a game in at least the last 10 years.

MacDonald's double-double marked the second of her career, the other being her rookie season at Brown.
MacDonald tallied Dartmouth's second straight double-double, after Ozel's 10-point, 10-assist double-double vs. Colby-Sawyer on Wednesday.
Four Dartmouth players reached double-figure points for the first time since the Big Green's 61-59 win at Central Connecticut State last season.
