CHARLOTTE, N.C.—Dartmouth women's tennis fell to Charlotte on Sunday afternoon in North Carolina. Despite a fifth singles win from Lauren Han the Big Green fell 6-1.
Doubles
Sam Grosjean and Brooke Hess played third doubles on Sunday, the duo fell 6-2 in the first match of the day.
Peyton Capuano and Michela Moore fell 6-3 in first doubles as the 49ers took the doubles point.
Elizabeth Fahrmeier and Elise Wong were locked in a back and forth second doubles match. The score was 5-4 Charlotte when the match was ended due to the doubles point being won by Charlotte.
Singles
Han was the lone member of the Big Green to notch a win on Sunday. She won the first set 7-6 and then completed the match with a 7-6 win in the second set as well. She improved to 5-2 this season with the win.
Caroline Lemcke was the only member of the Big Green to go three sets. She won the first set of sixth singles 6-1 but then fell 6-1 in the second set. In the third set she fell 6-3.
Capuano fell 6-1, 6-2 in first singles while Moore fell 6-2, 7-6 in second singles.
Fahrmeier retired from her third singles match and Grosjean fell 6-3, 6-2 in fourth singles.
The Big Green return home for a match against UMass before heading to California for three matches. Dartmouth hosts UMass on Sunday, Mar. 1 at 1 PM at Boss Tennis Center.
