HANOVER, N.H.—The Dartmouth women's tennis team defeated UMass 6-1 on Saturday afternoon at Boss Tennis Center.

Singles

Michela Moore and Peyton Capuano opened the day strong for the Big Green in first doubles. The duo won 6-2 for the Big Green.

Elise Wong and Lauren Han secured the doubles point for the Big Green in third doubles. The duo won a back and forth match 7-5 as Dartmouth took a 1-0 lead.

Brooke Hess and Sam Grosjean were locked in a close second doubles match. The duo led 6-5 when the match was ended.

Singles

Capuano brought doubles success to singles as she dominated first singles. She won the first set 6-2 and then secured the sweep with a 6-0 win in the second set.

Moore also competed a 2-0 day as she took home a three set second singles win. She won the first set 6-2 but then fell 6-3 in the second set. In the third set she won 10-3 for the win.

Han completed a sweep in third singles. She won the first set 6-4 and then earned the win with a 6-1 second set win.

Grosjean notched a two set win in fourth singles. She won the first set 6-3 and the earned her sixth win of the spring with a 6-2 win in the second set.

Hess played sixth singles for the Big Green. She won the first set 6-4 and then swept the second set 6-0 for the win.

UMass picked up their lone point in fifth singles. Wong fell 6-1, 6-4.

The Big Green have nearly three weeks off before traveling to California for three matches. They take on Long Beach State on Mar. 21, Cal State Fullerton on Mar. 23, and UC San Diego on Mar. 24.
