Friday marked the first of three straight home games to end the season

HANOVER, N.H. — Penn jumped out to an early 12-2 lead and wouldn't look back, as the Dartmouth women's basketball team's return home was spoiled by the Quakers, 66-37 on Friday evening inside Leede Arena. Victoria Page led the Big Green offensively with 12 points while Clare Meyer added 10 points and seven rebounds.

Stina Almqvist led the Quakers with a game-high 24 points.

Penn held a 36-14 halftime lead and despite a competitive third quarter (17-14 Quakers edge), the Big Green simply had too big a hole to dig out of.

FIRST QUARTER: 

Penn took early control, opening a 12-2 lead following four straight points from Almqvist.
The margin reached 12 at 16-4 then 18-6, with the Quakers leading 20-9 after the first quarter of play.

SECOND QUARTER:

The second quarter saw just five Big Green points, with Page knocking down a three and Meyer finishing a layup.
Penn held a 16-5 advantage in the stanza to lead by 22 at the break.

THIRD QUARTER:

The Quakers' lead reached as much as 28 late in the third quarter.
Five straight Dartmouth points, including a Nina Minicozzi 3-pointer, cut the deficit to 51-28, but an Almqvist layup gave Penn a 53-28 lead entering the fourth.

FOURTH QUARTER:

The Penn lead continued to grow in the fourth.
One bright spot came in the final minute as Brooke Hollawell connected on a 3-pointer, marking her second-career made trey.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

Along with Page and Meyer, Zeynep Ozel added five points, with Minicozzi and Hollawell each finishing with three.
For the game, the Big Green shot 23.1% from the floor (12-of-52), including 21.7% from 3-point range (5-of-23).
Penn finished at 44.3% (27-of-61) and 29.6% from behind the arc (8-of-27).
The Quakers held a 40-35 edge in rebounds.
