
Hagenbuch and Zimmermann Named The Richards Group Athletes of the Week

HANOVER, N.H.—Dartmouth skiers John Steel Hagenbuch and Zoe Zimmermann have earned The Richards Group Athlete of the Week honors following excellent performances at the NCAA Skiing National Championships last week.
Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes, one male, one female – as Athletes of the Week.
John Steel Hagenbuch, Sr., Ketchum, Idaho, Men's Nordic Skiing
Hagenbuch had two dominant performances for the Big Green last week in the 2025 National Championship. On Thursday, Hagenbuch won the 7.5K Classic Individual Start by 16 seconds, collecting his second straight individual championship in the 7.5K race. In Saturday's 20K Freestyle, Hagenbuch finished second overall, a whole 27 seconds ahead of the third-place finisher. With his first and second place finishes, he collects two First-Team All-American honors, his fourth and fifth career First-Team All-American awards.
Zoe Zimmermann, Jr., Gilford, N.H., Women's Alpine Skiing
Zimmermann placed in the top ten in both the slalom and giant slalom at the 2025 National Championship this past week. In her first race of the championship, Zimmermann finished fifth overall in the slalom, posting the eighth and seventh fastest run times of the 34-person field. On the giant slalom, Zimmermann finished eighth with a 1:58.53, concluding the championship with two All-American honors; first team on the slalom and second team on the giant slalom.
