Brandon Mitchell-Day recorded 20 points for the Big Green as the Dartmouth men's basketball team fell to Cornell in the Ivy Madness semifinal from Pizzitola Sports Center on Saturday afternoon.

Mitchell-Day added seven rebounds while
Ryan Cornish drained 15 points for Dartmouth.
The Big Green's record falls to 14-14 (8-6 Ivy League) and Cornell's improves to 18-10 (9-5 Ivy League). Â

FIRST HALF: 
- Dunks from Mitchell-Day and Romeo Myrthil out of the first media timeout gave the Big Green an 11-6 lead.
- Cornell responded with a 15-4 run to jump ahead 21-15 with 8:17 to go in the half.
- Seven points from the Big Green to Cornell's two brought Dartmouth within one with 6:38 remaining, 23-22 Cornell.
- The final four minutes of the half, the teams went shot for shot and Cornell took a 44-36 lead into halftime.
SECOND HALF:
- Cornell came out of halftime and scored five quick to extend the lead to 49-36.
- Two three pointers in a row midway through the half put Cornell ahead 62-46 and forced a Big Green timeout with 14:39 left.
- A Dartmouth 11-3 run with just under 10 minutes left brought the Big Green within 10, 69-60 Cornell.
- The Big Red responded with 10 of their own to go ahead 79-62.
- The game ended with three unanswered points from the Big Red and they took the victory 87-71.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Four Big Green players scored double digit points; Mitchell-Day, Cornish, Myrthil and Connor Amundsen.
- Mitchell-Day shot 9-13 from the field and 2-3 from three.
