BOSTON – Head Coach of Dartmouth men's basketball
David McLaughlin has been named a finalist for the Hugh Durham Award by College Insider. The Hugh Durham Award is presented annually to the top mid-major head coach in college basketball.
The Big Green, led by McLaughlin, have clinched a berth in Ivy Madness for the first time in program history. With one regular season game to go, Dartmouth currently sits tied for second in the conference with an overall record of 14-12 and an Ivy record of 8-5.
The Hugh Durham award is named in honor of the former Florida State, Georgia and Jacksonville head coach. In eight seasons, at Jacksonville University, Durham became the Dolphins' all-time winningest Division I coach (106 wins), making him the only coach in NCAA history to be the winningest coach (pct. or wins) at three different Division I schools.
The 2025 award will be announced in San Antonio, TX, site of the men's Division I Basketball Championship.
