
Capuano, Moore, and Zimmer Named Athletes of the Week

HANOVER, N.H.—Peyton Capuano and Michela Moore of Dartmouth women's tennis and Oscar Zimmer of skiing have been named The Richards Group Athletes of the Week.
Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight outstanding student-athletes – one male athlete or team, one female athlete or team– as Athletes of the Week.
Oscar Zimmer, Sr., Oslo, Norway, Men's Alpine Skiing
Oscar Zimmer continued to impress at the St. Lawrence Carnival this past weekend, winning the slalom with a time of 1:26.72, over one second better than the second place finisher. His Run 2 time of 42.85 was the fastest time of the field. Zimmer's slalom win marks his first of the season, his second podium finish of the season, and his third top-five finish in only four races. Dartmouth as a team has won the first two EISA carnivals of the 2026 season, making it eight consecutive dating back to the beginning of the 2025 carnival season.
Peyton Capuano, Jr., Herndon, Va., & Michela Moore, Jr., Monte Sereno, Calif., Women's Tennis
Peyton Capuano and Michela Moore were dominant in women's tennis' two matches against Boston College and Fordham this weekend, each posting a 4-0 record. The pair that plays at first doubles together defeated Boston College on Friday, 7-5, before also winning their doubles match vs. Fordham on Saturday, 6-2. In singles play, Capuano defeated her opponent at first singles 7-6 (7-1 in the tiebreaker), before dropping the second set 6-4 and coming back to win 7-5 in the third set to clinch the match for the Big Green. She also took the win at first singles on Saturday, winning the first set 6-1 and being up 2-1 in the second before her opponent retired. Moore also impressed as she cruised to a 6-1, 6-3 victory at second singles over Boston College on Friday. She then clinched the match for the Big Green on Saturday with a 6-0 first set win and a 7-6 (7-1 tiebreak win) in the second set. Dartmouth as a team is now 3-0 on the season.
