HANOVER, N.H. — Following a stellar season, and career, Dartmouth football's Konstantin Spörk has been named a second team Academic All-American by the College Sports Communicators, as announced on Tuesday. It marks the second straight season the Big Green have featured an Academic All-American, after Ejike Adele was named to the first team last season.
Spörk is one of just three Ivy League student-athletes named Academic All-Americans, along with James Reinbold of Cornell and John Perdue of Brown. In total, just 50 student-athletes across Division I FCS and FBS were recognized.
An engineering major, Spörk owns a stellar GPA. Also an Academic All-Ivy honoree this season, he was named Academic All-District for four straight years before earning Academic All-America for the first time. Dartmouth's last Academic All-American prior to Adele was David Emanuels in 2018, while Dominic Lanza in 1997 was the Big Green's last first team Academic All-American.
On the field, Spörk was a second team All-Ivy honoree. He played a key role in paving the way for All-Ivy honoree D.J. Crowther at running back, with the duo of Crowther and Grayson Saunier combining for 21 rushing touchdowns (one of just two duos in the nation each with 10+ rushing scores in 2025). Spörk helped protect Saunier in the pass game, as the Big Green allowed the fifth fewest sacks in the nation (per game average).
The Big Green finished 2025 with a 7-3 record and 4-3 in the Ivy League, earning wins over NCAA FCS Playoff teams New Hampshire, Yale and Central Connecticut State. Dartmouth finished 5-0 at home for the first time since 2018.
