NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Yale jumped out to a 27-11 lead after one quarter, which proved too much for the Dartmouth women's basketball team to overcome in an 82-54 loss on Saturday. The Big Green hung around through much of the middle two quarters, but the Bulldogs outscored Dartmouth 23-14 in the fourth to erase any doubt.

Zeynep Ozel led the Big Green in scoring for the third time in the last four games, tallying 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting.
Cate MacDonald finished with 10 points and eight rebounds.
Debra Hill and
Tahira Muhammad each scored seven points.

Ciniya Moore led Yale with a game-high 26 points.

One game after knocking down nine threes, its most in an Ivy League game this season, Dartmouth was just 4-of-20 from behind the arc. The Big Green were also outrebounded 49-27.

FIRST QUARTER:
- A Clare Meyer layup in the early going evened the score at five.
- A few minutes later, Ozel knocked down a 3-pointer to pull Dartmouth within 11-8 with 5:11 left in the quarter.
- Yale responded with a 16-3 run to close out the period, to take a 27-11 lead.
SECOND QUARTER:
- The Bulldogs' lead reached 21 early in the second at 34-13.
- Dartmouth responded with six straight points, capped off by a tough driving layup from Muhammad, to pull the Big Green within 34-19 with 5:29 until halftime.
- A Muhammad three moments later got Dartmouth within 14 at 36-22, but Yale responded to take a 41-26 halftime lead.
THIRD QUARTER:
- Yale's lead hovered in the middle teens for much of the beginning of the third.
- A Moore layup did give the Bulldogs a 47-28 lead, but the Big Green scored seven of the next nine points, as an Ozel three got the Big Green back within 14 at 49-35.
- Yale again answered, extending its lead back to 21 before taking a 59-40 lead into the fourth.
FOURTH QUARTER:
- A mini 6-0 run early in the fourth, capped off by an Ozel floater, pulled the Big Green 61-48 with 6:15 remaining.
- That's as close as Dartmouth would come, however, as Yale responded with an 18-3 run to take a 28-point lead, on the way to the 82-54 final.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- For the game, Dartmouth shot 40.0% from the floor (20-of-50), including 20.0% from 3-point range (4-of-20).
- Yale finished at 46.5% (33-of-71) and 47.4% from behind the arc (9-of-19).
- The Big Green were just 10-of-22 on free throws.
- Ozel led Dartmouth with four assists, marking the team-leading 18th time this season she has led the Big Green in helpers.
- Muhammad's seven points marked a season high. She also as a team-leading +9 in plus/minus, as the only Big Green player in the plus.
