HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth women's basketball team fell 81-42 to Columbia, the second ranked team in the Ivy League, on Saturday at Leede Arena.
Zeynep Ozel led the team with 11 points, going 6 for 7 at the free throw line. Clare Meyer followed behind with eight points, while Olivia Austin and Jacalyn Myrthil each tabbed five points. Tahira Muhammad recorded her first collegiate start, playing 28 minutes for the Big Green

First Quarter:
- Columbia opened scoring with back to back three-pointers before Ozel put Dartmouth on the board with three made free-throws. The Lions would then go on a run to close out the quarter 20-3.
Second Quarter:
- Clare Meyer opened second half scoring with a layup, then later brought the score to 27-7 with another layup.
- Meyer was the highest scoring player of both teams, scoring six points in the second quarter.
- The Big Green had their best scoring run with under six minutes left in the period, scoring back to back layups.
Third Quarter:
- Cate MacDonald scored a layup in the first minute of the third, followed by two made free throws by Muhammad.
- Ozel led both teams in scoring in the third quarter with eight points, going 2-3 in field goals, 3-4 in free throws and making one three pointer.
Fourth Quarter:
- The Big Green had their best scoring run in the final 10 seconds of the game, featuring a three-pointer by Sierra Carson and a layup by Debra Hill.
