ITHACA, N.Y. – The Dartmouth women's basketball team fell to Cornell, 78-53, on Saturday afternoon at Newman Arena.
Alexandra Eldredge led the Big Green with 12 points, while
Zeynep Ozel added 11.
Cate MacDonald chipped in six points and three rebounds, and
Debra Hill added six points off the bench.

First Quarter:
- Sierra Carson opened Dartmouth's scoring with a three-pointer to cut Cornell's early lead to one.
- Cate MacDonald knocked down a pair of free throws to bring the Big Green within a point midway through the quarter.
- Zeynep Ozel hit a three-pointer to tie the game at 10-10 with just over two minutes remaining.
- Cornell closed the quarter with a short run to take a 14-12 lead into the second.
Second Quarter:
- Alexandra Eldredge scored on a driving layup early in the period to trim the deficit.
- Debra Hill converted a second-chance layup to bring Dartmouth within two points at 19-17.
- Cornell responded with a scoring run midway through the quarter to extend its lead.
- A late three-pointer from Carson and a driving basket from Ozel helped Dartmouth close the half trailing 35-24.
Third Quarter:
- Olivia Austin scored inside early in the period to start the Dartmouth offense.
- Ozel knocked down a three-pointer and Eldredge added a driving basket to keep the Big Green within striking distance.
- Cornell used strong shooting from beyond the arc to extend its lead late in the quarter.
- Debra Hill and Ozel each scored in the final minutes as Dartmouth trailed 56-41 heading into the fourth.
Fourth Quarter:
- Eldredge opened the scoring for Dartmouth with a three-pointer early in the period.
- Olivia Lawlor added a layup to provide a spark for the Big Green offense.
- Dartmouth continued to battle down the stretch, but Cornell maintained control to secure the 78-53 win.
