PENNSAUKEN, N.J. – The Dartmouth women's rowing team advanced multiple boats to grand finals on Saturday at the Ivy League Championships on the Cooper River, highlighted by strong performances in the second varsity eight, third varsity eight and varsity four heats.
The Big Green's second varsity eight secured a second-place finish in its heat with a time of 6:27.078, finishing behind Princeton and ahead of both Harvard and Cornell to earn a spot in Sunday's grand final.
Dartmouth also advanced its third varsity eight after placing second in its heat in 6:48.112. The Big Green crossed ahead of Harvard and Cornell, trailing only Pennsylvania.
In the varsity four, Dartmouth delivered another strong showing with a runner-up finish in Heat 2. The Big Green posted a time of 7:05.614 to finish second behind Princeton and comfortably ahead of Harvard and Columbia, clinching a place in the grand final.
The varsity eight competed in a tightly contested opening heat and finished third in 6:14.041. Dartmouth trailed Yale and Columbia while finishing ahead of Cornell, sending the Big Green to the final on Sunday.
