Brown and Blake Named the Richards Group Athletes of the Week

HANOVER, N.H. – Zori Brown of Dartmouth volleyball and Trenton Blake of Dartmouth men's soccer have been named The Richards Group Athletes of the Week.

Each week, DartmouthSports.com will highlight two exceptional student-athletes – one male athlete or team, one female athlete or team – as Athletes of the Week.

Zori Brown, Sophomore, Pembroke Pines, Fla., Volleyball
Zori Brown led the Big Green to 2-1 over the weekend, finding a big win over Boston College Sunday. Brown led the team in total kills with 43, kills per set averaging 3.58, total points with 49.5, points per set with 4.13, and led the team in digs with 36 on the weekend. Brown recorded double-doubles in all three matches this weekend - 19 kills, 12 digs vs. Binghamton, 14 kills, 10 digs vs. Quinnipiac, 10 kills, 14 digs vs. BC. Brown hit an overall percentage of .275, being most efficient in the Big Green's win over Quinnipiac Saturday hitting .306. Brown has been a consistent leader for the Big Green so far this season and her performance this weekend puts her at 3rd overall in the Ivy League in points with 126 and averaging 3.71 per game. Brown is second overall in the Ivy League in kills per set averaging 3.12 and third in total kills with 106, sitting just behind her teammate Riley Imamura who has tallied 107. She also sits in the top 10 in the Ivy League in digs where she sits at 6th in total digs with 97 and 8th in digs per set averaging 2.85.

Trenton Blake, Senior, Tallahassee, Fla., Men's Soccer
Blake was instrumental in the Dartmouth men's soccer team 3-1 victory over No. 18 Vermont. Two assists were credited to Blake in the contest assisting on the first goal and the third goal of the game. Blake's first assist came in the 4th minute of play on a goal from Ben Bilden. The second and final assist set up Bo Robbins for a fantastic goal that sealed the win. Blake leads the team this season with four points, having a goal in the teams' 2-0 win over Stonehill earlier this season. The win was the first over a nationally ranked opponent since 2016 and handed Vermont their first regular season loss since the 2024 season. Men's soccer will return to Burnham Field on Saturday, Sept. 26 against No. 11 Princeton at 6:00 p.m. as a part of Family Weekend.
