Ola Goebel Named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week

HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth women's soccer goalkeeper Ola Goebel was named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the Ivy League on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026. This is the second Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week for Goebel, after earning the recognition last season.
Ola Goebel had a strong week for Dartmouth, as she recorded four points this week and had a shutout. Against Arizona State, Goebel made four saves and allowed just one goal against the Power-Four opponent. Against Arizona, Goebel made five saves, against 14 shots, in the huge, 1-0 victory that helped the Big Green defeat a Power-Four opponent for the first time since 2019.
Goebel leads the Ivy League in goals against average (0.50), save percentage (89.7%), and saves per game (4.33 average of saves per game).
