Why Dartmouth?
My dad is a '76, and I grew up hearing his stories about going to school here. I was intrigued by Dartmouth, and when I finally visited, I knew this was the place for me.
How long have you been riding and what got you interested in riding?
I started riding when I was 8, and I love it. It's my escape from daily stress and keeps me sane here at school. I first got interested in riding when my mom gave me a plastic horse doll for my birthday, I have been in love with horses ever since.
Have you won any academic or equestrian awards recently?
I went to regionals this past spring, and won first place in jumping at our most recent show.
Tell me something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your
teammates.
I was born in Riga, Latvia, and had to be in ESL(English as a Second Language) in second grade!
What are your future plans, if any?
I probably won't be able to ride for a while after college as I get settled into a career, but I definitely plan to own horses in the future and continue riding for fun.
