Q and A with Sam:
How long have you been riding and what got you interested in competing?
I rode a little bit of western when I was 9 and did sporadic riding camps until the summer before my freshman year, when I worked with the Yale polo ponies. I rode about 3 times a week in hopes of making the equestrian team :) and I did! I never competed until I got to Dartmouth
How did you become interested in riding?
I've loved animals since I was little, especially horses, and I used to love watching horse shows on TV so I begged my mom to let me start riding.
Something that may come as a surprise to your teammates:
I used to live in Switzerland.
Are you involved in any extra curricular activities on campus?
I'm a drill isntructor for French, Spanish, and ESL and I used to play club soccer.
Future plans:
To never ever leave Dartmouth :)
