Before Dartmouth:
From her first year of high school until her senior year, Sophie took a serious interest in equestrian sports. All four years of her high school career, she participated in the US Equestrian Athletic Lettering Program.
Personal:
Her parents, Kaili and Frank Pelzer, both graduated from Dartmouth in 1993. Kaili, her mother, participated in equestrian competitions for the Big Green from 1989 to 1991. Sophie has a range of possible majors, including Classics, Theater, and even WGGS. She is highly passionate about social justice and drama. She really loves solving puzzles in her spare time. Something many people don't know about her is that she has been on a safari and even shared her breakfast with a giraffe.
