Sophomore (2010-11): Finished in 22nd place in the 400 IM at the Ivy League Championships with a time of 4:10.42 ... Also competed in the in the 100 breast (1:00.79), 200 breast (2:08.34) at the Ivy League Championships ... Sixth in the 100 back vs. Columbia (2:15.96) ... Fifth in the 100 breast against Princeton (1:01.58) ... Ninth in the 100 breast (1:01.97) against Yale and Penn and seventh in the 200 breast (2:14.90) ... Third place in the 100 breast (1:08.81) against Brown.
Freshman (2009-10): Finished in 12th place in the 100 breast (1:04.84) and 11th in the 200 breast (2:19.65) vs. Penn and Yale ... Took 12th in the 100 breast (1:05.63) against Maine and Boston College ... Swam several exhibition swims throughout the season primarily in the breaststroke events.
Before Dartmouth: Swam for four years and played water polo for two at Loomis Chaffee in Windsor, Connecticut ... As a senior on the swim team, Matt placed 10th in the breaststroke at the NEPSSA New England Championship ... As both a junior and senior he attended the YMCA Summer Nationals ... Was a part of the Math Team, in the Chamber Singers, the production editor for the student newspaper, and was president of LCTV ... At Dartmouth, Matt wants to study Mathematics and Computer Science and get involved in A Cappella groups and drama.
Personal: Son of John and Nancy Harding ... Has one brother and two sisters ... Father, John, swam for Northwestern University.
