Senior (2017-18): During his final season in Hanover, he went 3-4 in singles, taking down opponents from BC and Yale in tournament play and BU in a dual match … had a record of 1-3 in doubles, defeating a pair from Cornell alongside Eddie Grabill … received the team’s Hard Hat Commitment Award and the Clarence J. Davies Award.
Junior (2016-17): Wrapped up his junior year with an overall record of 2-4 in singles and 1-3 in doubles … played two singles matches in the spring, beating opponents from Bryant and Hofstra at the No. 6 position … received the Clarence J. Davies Award.
Sophomore (2015-16): During tournament play, he went 6-2 in singles and 3-1 in doubles … also played a pair of dual matches at the No. 6 position, winning against both Bryant and Sacred Heart … received the team’s Hard Hat Commitment Award.
Freshman (2014-15): Played in three tournaments during the fall of his freshman year, winning three of his singles matches … recipient of the team’s Occum Bowl for making the greatest improvement throughout the season.
Before Dartmouth: Paul Midgley attended Suffolk One in Ipswich, England, where he played both tennis and soccer ... as a senior, he was ranked as high as #8 in the UK U18 rankings, won the Bath National doubles tournament, and reached the semifinals of the U18 National Grade 1.
