Tom Vorhies went to high school at Morris Knolls in New Jersey. He was a member of the varisty track team all four years and was captain his senior year, the indoor track team for two years and football for one. Tom was the Morris County Discus Relay Champ and took 6th at the NJ State Meet his senior year. Throughout high school, Tom was given several awards and honors. As a junior and senior he was Daily Record Honorable Mention and senior year he was named 2nd Team All-County and 2nd Team All-Conference. Aside from athletics, Tom was a member of the National Honors Society, Spanish Club, Key Club, and Boy Scouts. At Dartmouth, Tom plans on studying Environmental Engineering.

Tom is the son of Tim and Carol Vorhies and he has two brothers and one sisters. His father, brothers and sister all took part in college athletics. His father played football and ran track for Wagner College; his brother, Tim Jr., wrestled for Penn State; Bob, his other brother, wrestled for the University of Maryland; and his sister, Jennifer, played softball for Penn State.
