Before Dartmouth: She was an exceptional golfer before to committing to Dartmouth's sailing program. During her golfing career, she even received SCVAL Second Team honors. She engaged in a variety of extracurricular activities, including the American Math Competition and the California State Debate Championship, where she took second place overall and first place in her grade in 2021. She received recognition for her exceptional talent on the violin and piano where she won first place and received the Grand Prix Award.

Personal: She is Rowena Lin and Jason Chu's only child. She intends to pursue a degree in engineering or physics at Dartmouth. Catherine would want to contribute to the timeless Dartmouth Newspaper. She enjoys composing music thanks to her musical abilities.
