Sailing - Open & Women's
vs Harry Anderson Trophy
Why Dartmouth?
One of those gut feelings I suppose. I knew Dartmouth had great programs in what i wanted to study, and everyone I met on my visits was incredibly nice.
How long have you been sailing and what got you interested in sailing?
I've been sailing since I was seven years old when my parents signed me up for a junior program. At first I hated it, and attempted to erase my name from the sign-up sheet the subsequent year. However, with some persistence and time on the water, I grew to love sailing.
What Sailing or Academic achievements are you particularly proud of?
In high school, I advanced to the finals of the Federal Reserve Challenge, a monetary policy competition held at each regional branch of the Federal Reserve system.
Tell me something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.
I once turned orange from drinking too much V8 splash juice.
What are your future sailing and career plans?
Hopefully I'll get involved in the V15 scene, and likely a lot of old man sailing.
What sports or activities did you pursue in high school, and what do you hope to continue at Dartmouth?
I used to be a fairly involved soccer player, however that seems to have fallen by the wayside of my college life. I am now an active participant in IM Hockey, which I picked up in college and hope to continue during my time at Dartmouth.
