Mariruth Galbraith enters her second season as an assistant coach with the Dartmouth softball program.
A starter at catcher during her four years at Virginia, Galbraith was a co-captain for the Cavaliers in her senior campaign. She helped lead Virginia to the ACC Championship game in 1999 and was named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll in 1998 and 1999. She was also a member of the UVA's Student-Athlete Advisory Council and the Student-Athlete Mentors program.
Galbraith has coached extensively at the high school and ASA travel levels, including head coaching stints at Walsingham Academy in Williamsburg, Virginia, and with the Virginia Legends U-12 and U-14 teams.
She graduated from Virginia in 1999 with a degree in sociology and spent four years in corporate recruiting with Ferguson Enterprises.
Galbraith lives in Hanover with her husband, Drew, an associate athletic director at Dartmouth, and her children, Miranda (5) and Maxwell (4).
