Lux arrived in Hanover in late June of 2022 after spending the 2021-22 season as the women’s basketball assistant coach at MIT. She also spent two years at Regis College before her stint at MIT as the graduate assistant coach for the women’s basketball team, receiving a master’s degree in sports communications along the way.
In 2022, Lux was named to the WBCA Thirty Under 30 list in recognition of her contributions to the profession as a young, up-and-coming coach.
A 2019 graduate of Bentley University with a bachelor’s degree in business management with a concentration in leadership, she was a four-year member of the Falcons’ women’s basketball team under the guidance of Hall of Fame coach Barbara Stevens. Lux played in the NCAA Tournament all four years, including a trip to the Final Four during the 2015-16 season. Lux went on to play with the New England Trailblazers of the Women’s American Basketball Association (WABA) during the 2021-22 season.
“We are fortunate to add Victoria Lux to our Big Green staff!” Shibles commented. “Her experience at MIT and Regis, combined with her stellar career at Bentley, make her a tremendous fit for our program. Victoria’s energy, passion for the game and talent for developing post players are strengths that will benefit our squad immensely.”
