Role model - One of my mentors is my high school teacher and an advisor, Ben Snyder. He introduced to some of my academic passions that I’ve continued to pursue at Dartmouth and has continued to be an adult that I look up to.
Why rowing? – I row because of the challenges and rewards that this sport gives to everyone who dares to give it their all. I started rowing relatively late compared to some of my teammates, and I immediately loved how the sport reflects the work you put in; you get out what you’re willing to give. Most importantly, however, I row because of the amazing relationships and mentorships I’ve found and fostered in my teammates.
Dartmouth rowing impact – Rowing at Dartmouth has been a privilege that I know I cannot yet fully comprehend. I am humbled by the opportunity to spend time on a beautiful river with some of the most tenacious and impressive teammates and friends I can think of. With them, I have made lifelong memories. I also love the Dartmouth rowing community and the passion that so many alumni continue to have for the program, and I take pride knowing that I will always have a place in the DRC family.
Why Dartmouth? – I chose Dartmouth because of the immediate sense of community. Aside from the academic rigor and beautiful campus, I was so impressed with the passion that people have for Dartmouth, both current students and alumni. I chose Dartmouth because of the pride I feel every day walking among my peers.
