Role model - My high school advisor, Mr. Weatherspoon. Since my freshman year, Mr. Weatherspoon has been an amazing source of wisdom and advice. Whether it be a familial, athletic, or academic issues, he has always been there for me to get me through the good and the bad.
Why rowing? - My teammates. They hold me accountable for bringing my best self to the boathouse every day, whether it be for a steady state workout or a championship race. I think this accountability is something unique to the sport of rowing, given its individual and collaborative aspects.
Why Dartmouth? - I chose Dartmouth because it offers a close-knit community of students and professors, a strong liberal arts education, and exceptional athletic opportunities.
Dartmouth rowing impact - Rowing at Dartmouth has introduced me to an amazing community of current and former Dartmouth rowers. Through this community, my experiences have been broadened to extents I had never imagined before. From reconnecting with past teammates at big regattas, to finding internship opportunities through alums, I continue to be in awe of the network (and family) Dartmouth rowing has brought me.
