WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- At the rain-shortened William & Mary Tribe Invitational, the Dartmouth women's golf team finished tied for fourth with an 18-hole score of 315.
At Kiskiack Golf Club, host William & Mary shot 299, winning the tournament by two strokes over Harvard. Boston College was third with 306, while Dartmouth, Longwood and Old Dominion were bunched up at 315.
The score of 315 was the lowest for Dartmouth since September 22, 2003 when the Big Green matched that in the final round of the Bryant Invitational.
For the Big Green, junior co-captain Hayley Stevens (Orinda, Calif.) fired a two-over par 74, good for a tie for sixth place.
Also among the top 20 was freshman Tory Sheppard (Fishers, Ind.) with a 77. She was tied for 17th.
Freshman Lauren Strickler (Akron, Ohio) shot a 79, and sophomore Elizabeth Dupuy (Phoenix, Ariz.) followed with an 80.
Rounding out the Dartmouth scoring were junior co-captain Annie Daher (Lafayette, Calif.) with an 82; junior Ann Kapusta (Meadville, Pa.), 83; and sophomore Libby Wegener (Shorewood, Minn.), 89.
The tournament concluded the fall season for the Big Green.
